Meet the Artist

As artists, I believe we all hide behind a mask. It’s only in the processes of creating our art that we slowly reveal just a tiny piece of who we are and how we perceive the world.

My name is Jenny Parr. How I became known as Penny Jarr is one of those long stories that I’ll save for another time. I’ve always had an appreciation, love, and need for art that has only grown throughout my life. I’ve experimented with many mediums of art including pencil, acrylic paint, oil pastels, digital drawing, photography, writing, graphic design, and web design just to name a few. While I still create my own art, I found one of my greatest passions is inspiring other artists. We all run into those evil creativity blocks from time to time and to me, there is nothing more satisfying than giving that extra little nudge to help someone become passionate about their art again.

It’s been said; “Art is not what you see, but what you make others see.” — Edgar Degas.  There is always something new to learn, always something to create, and always a different way to look at something, even something as simple as a name.
